I typically work with business owners, board level and senior Executives (either employed by the company or the individual). I ‘un-stick’ them via Coaching and ‘catapult’ them forward with Mentoring or a blended version of both
I realise that every person and every company have a different need and are all at different stages of development, so I offer a bespoke service that caters for individuals and SME companies differently.
The people and companies that I support are very varied, from company owners that need Mentoring to help them through sticking points to senior executives that need coaching as they are having problems with their teams or peers or are looking to progress to the next level in their career.
I also offer board level support for high performing teams and company retainer work for organisations who are looking for ongoing support to drive their employees to the next level.
Although there are various names used and sub styles out there the three types of widely recognised coaching are Autocratic, Democratic and Holistic. These are based on leadership studies conducted in the 1930s by Kurt Lewin (a German-American social psychologist and pioneer in the psychological study of group dynamics).
Effectively these three approaches are 'providing the solution', 'working together to ‘un stick’ and 'creating a safe space to find the answer'.
Each have been proven effective in their own right, but it’s important to understand the characteristics of each and how they are suitable for different individuals and company’s needs.
I use a variation of all three approaches which is known as Situational Leadership which has proven to be one of the keys to the success of Up Front Coaching and Mentoring.
Step 1️⃣ A FREE 15–20-minute consultation call, for you to describe why you need support, and for me to look at your sticking point(s)to see if I can help.
If we agree that there is common ground, I will then offer
Step 2️⃣ A FREE 30–60-minute Discovery call, in this we will…
a. Talk more about your sticking point
b. Look at what sort of support you are looking for exactly
c. Work out your preferred style of communication
d. See if we have a good fit to work together
e. Talk through recommended Coaching and / or Mentoring options and how they could work for you.
f. Clarify anything you are unsure of or would like more information about.
If we agree that it’s the right time to start working together, I will send over some homework (approximately 30 minutes) ahead of our first session to make sure we get the most from it and hit the ground running.
Step 3️⃣ Then the fun and transformation starts, in a safe, positively challenging and transformative space where we work together to get you unstuck and catapulted forward.
After each session I openly share my notes so we have a mutually understood and agreed foundation and can track our progress. There will also most likely be be specific actions and objectives you will need to complete, either to finish our work together or ahead of the next meeting. This makes sure we are moving forward at speed to resolve the issue(s) and make the most impact straight away or in the next session, so yes there will be homework!
It’s always a high energy, safe, transformative space and genuine ground breaking moments happen frequently so prepare to have your mind blown!
I’ve always had a passion for people and helping them grow and develop.
From early in my career, I realised that genuinely helping others to be the best they could be, and to help them develop as far as they could go, was what I enjoyed doing most. Doing this to back fill my role always allowed me to grow and develop further and seemed like the natural way to progress through companies.
Because of that mindset I’ve been employed by many companies to streamline acquisitions, disrupt markets, set up new divisions, develop Long Range Plans, improve culture and bring positive and progressive change.
I have also purposely moved into different markets with every step I have made, sharing all my transferrable skills and abilities whilst learning new ones to bring with me to the next role.
My experience and skills have been honed doing this for over 20 years whilst running and supporting companies at Board level. During this time, I have also always pushed for continuous personal improvement and have collected industry recognised skills which include (but are not limited to) Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean, Lane 4 and Times Top 100 top rated management (numerous times).
So that’s a bit about me, but what makes me different when it comes to Coaching and Mentoring, and what does it mean to you?
Well along with my formal training to Coach and Mentor what makes me different is that 20 years board level experience I bring with me which backs my Mentoring capability. Add to this my frequently proven coaching skills used to create high performing teams and I have a proven track record.
So, what could that sort of knowledge and support be doing for you or your company I wonder?
Has a passion for sticks, anything ball shaped (from tennis ball up to Yoga balls!) and squirrels.

Takes guarding and security very seriously and is not averse to letting me know if anyone is within about 100m radius of my office.
Well behaved, great company and may make occasional appearances whilst Zoom calls are happening so be warned
